Skilled Workers Overseas Stream
Manitoba immigration authorities are still inviting candidates to apply to the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, linked directly above, but below are a couple of new pathways.
- Express Entry Pathway
The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway was first introduced in January 2018, which is a way for applicants to be eligible for permanent residency in the Express Entry pool. Successful applicants receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, resulting in an invitation to apply for permanent residency and fast-track registration being given promptly.
- Human Capital Pathway
Immigration to Manitoba under the Manitoba Human Capital Pathway (HCP) is one of the forthcoming improvements to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee System, initially expected to come into effect in 2019 but instead postponed until 2020.

- Manitoba Work Experience Pathway

- Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway targets skilled workers overseas whose expertise is required in Manitoba.
International Education Stream
Manitoba’s new International Education Stream is dedicated to providing faster pathways to nomination international students graduating in Manitoba.
- Career Employment Pathway
International graduates of universities and colleges in Manitoba can look to the Career Employment Pathway as their potential route to permanent residence.
- Graduate Internship Pathway
The Manitoba Student Internship Pathway offers appointment opportunities for overseas Master’s or Doctoral (PhD) research students, who then complete an internship that leads to Manitoba’s business growth.
- Student Entrepreneur Pathway
The Manitoba International Student Entrepreneur Pilot offers the opportunity to explore Manitoba’s entrepreneurship to overseas students who have enrolled in Manitoba.
Business Investor Stream
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program’s former business immigration stream, known as MPNP-B, was replaced by the current Business Investor Route, which is itself subdivided into the Entrepreneur Pathway and the Farm Investor Pathway.
- Entrepreneur Pathway
To investors and businessmen who want to buy or launch a company in Manitoba, the Manitoba Business Investor pool is. Successful Entrepreneur Pathway candidates can obtain a conditional work permit and sign a corporate success agreement to buy an existing company in the province or launch a new venture.
- Farm Investor Pathway
The Manitoba Farm Investment Pathway offers a road to permanent residence in Canada for investors and businessmen who wish to purchase or launch a Manitoba farming venture.
