No more COVID-19 travel restrictions for Canadian immigrants

As per the COVID-19 travel restrictions, fully vaccinated Pakistani citizens were required to provide valid proof of vaccination before departure from Pakistan. Travelers over the age of 18 were required to be fully vaccinated to travel internationally. On the other side, for all travelers entering Canada requirements such as Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, COVID-19 pre-entry and arrival tests, Quarantine after entering Canada were considered mandatory.

There is good news!

As of October 1, Canada has lifted all COVID-19 related travel restrictions.

Travelers entering Canada by land, air or sea, will no longer have to provide proof of vaccination, they are no more required to undergo testing, and also a period of quarantine or isolation is no more mandatory.

Additionally, travelers will no longer have to provide health information through the country’s Arrive CAN app or wear masks on planes or trains.

Removal of the vaccine mandate makes it easier to enter Canada for all travelers.

The Government of Canada decided to lift all COVID-19 related border restrictions based on multiple factors such as data that indicates Canada has passed the peaks of the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 fuelled wave, lower hospitalization and death rates, high rates of vaccination, the availability of vaccine booster shots, rapid tests, and treatments for COVID-19.
